This is an article on WikiLeaks posted today discussing how WikiLeaks has given Apple, Google and other 90 days stop fix CIA exploits.

This is an article about social media activism.  It discusses hashtags and how they are not actually helping anything.  “Hashtags are very pretty on Twitter, but a hashtag is not a movement. A hashtag does not make you Dr. King. A hashtag does not change anything. It’s a hashtag. It’s you, sitting on your butt, typing on your computer and then going back to binge-watching your favorite show”.  Although I do agree with this, using hashtags brings awareness to issues that some people might not know about if it wasn’t for Twitter.  They also say how social media and hashtags are a useful tool to allow activists to communicate and plan meeting as well as brining awareness.  This article does a good job at looking at both the positive and negative aspects of activism on social media and relates to many topics we have touched on in class.
