Replacing Facebook’s Reaction Emojis with Donald Trump Facial Expressions

After our recent discussion about Facebook’s new reaction emojis, I found an interesting article explaining how to use different reaction emojis, including Donald Trump and Pokemon themed, simply by downloading chrome and firefox extensions. They are called Reaction Packs, that you simply download and can freely use on Facebook. You can also create your own Reaction Packs, in order to truly express how you feel about things you see on Facebook.

  1. I found this article to be entertaining! I think that reaction packs are a catchy concept that will have a lot of social media users downloading packs that are relevant to them. I couldn’t help but chuckle at the Donald Trump example that the article depicts. Personally, I would be interested in downloading reaction packs just because I find them to be a funny twist to the usual emojis. However I can also see a lot of users being turned away from this idea because why change the emoji’s that already exist, especially since they are still a new concept that Facebook has created. This is definitely a great article that strongly depicts the ongoing changes taking place on social media outlets!

  2. I find the development of Donald Trump and Pokémon “reaction” emoji’s quite hilarious and excessive. While you’ll be able to amuse yourself endlessly with your new range of reactions, the browser extension must be downloaded by your friends as well to see the custom icons on your Newsfeed. Facebook is constantly developing and improving their content. I’m not surprised developer Rodney Folz chose to profit from the “Like” alternatives as well by creating a whole new extension of characters. From the responses I’ve seen on Twitter, Facebook users are loving it! Smart move Rodney.
